A very deep joy to celebrate at St Mary and St John this morning, it is such a special place. I love chaplaincy but there is nothing like a parish church on a Sunday morning.

Today is my “admin day” so I really need to tackle my emails. So far I’ve had breakfast with some students and said MP. I have my pastoral supervision session later, which is still a new thing for me, and which I don’t really get yet. Other ppl that have them, how do you get the most from them?

Thanks for the cleaning throat tip! Yesterday my voice hadn’t gone and I could sing all of my range but the chanting note (a pesky G) seemed to just resonate on a frog in my throat and it was awful 😂

First Evensong of term featured me with a croaky throat as I enter week 5 of non stop colds/ coughs/ sore throats (and covid 2 weeks before that!). Any tips to finally be free most welcome.

Me too! I didn’t do them last year but they’re a chance to do a bit of an examen and to check in with what God might be doing in people’s lives (I hope!).
