Rex smiled. That damn smile he didn't even realize solidified people viewing him as a prince charming. He leaned in, kissing Silver softly but deeply.

He smiled, kissing Silver's head.

//Ugh. Need to build my mental stamina! Being grabbed by more advanced groups during classes that are just lectures is flattering but going from actorx2 to AD to AC is a lot. And still waiting on if I got the voice acting job. I think announcing it and being one of two to get a callback is why.

Rex is currently experiencing mood whiplash from the tournament. Maybe it was just bad luck on such an experienced trainer round one.

He'd rather she go all out. Just his first defeat so learning moment for him.

He gave a soft laugh.

"...They invited me back for next year."

He leaned against Silver, giving a soft smile.

"Got bloody trashed... Even Alex was down in two hits... I let them down. I...should have used my new Sharpedo but...I was too scared, too... Him and Cotton would have done so much more..."

"Thank you, Reina. I...might do that. It was fun. I can tell Alex and Laura enjoyed it. Even if I let Laura down..."

Rex frowned softly once left alone after the match. His Gallade, Alex, was still trying to do his job of supporting him, right next to him after being healed.

"...I'm going to be alright, buddy. I probably should have used Cotton and Angel with you, instead. I was too careful..."

Rex gave a soft sigh, clutching Emily's Pokéball. But he wasn't going to be sore loser... He just...felt he'd let them down...

It wasn't until she spoke that he looked up with a soft smile.

"It...was fun. New guy got a pro. I...honestly felt good that I managed to put up that much of a fight."
