Rex smiled. That damn smile he didn't even realize solidified people viewing him as a prince charming. He leaned in, kissing Silver softly but deeply.
"There's my man~."
"Thank you, luv. I did try hard. She just...was stronger."
He smiled, kissing Silver's head.
"Adorable..."
"You're not in his shadow, luv. People love and respect you for you. In some cases, despite your father."
"You already are..."
"I'll talk to him about it. Especially since you want that."
"You still know how to lead. To motivate and organize people. Make hard choices..."
"I'll remind him... Maybe he thinks you already know."
//Ugh. Need to build my mental stamina! Being grabbed by more advanced groups during classes that are just lectures is flattering but going from actorx2 to AD to AC is a lot. And still waiting on if I got the voice acting job. I think announcing it and being one of two to get a callback is why.
"Learning to be a king... My brother grew up with the lessons, not me."
Rex gave a soft laugh, wrapping his arms around his waist.
"My amazing partner~."

Rex smiled, kissing Terry's cheek before taking one.
"You're so good to me..."
"Right here, luv~."
"Terry! Hey, luv..."
//So...I got an acting callback! Going to a friend at the film school's place to celebrate!
Rex is currently experiencing mood whiplash from the tournament. Maybe it was just bad luck on such an experienced trainer round one.
"...I needed that. Thank you, luv."
Rex couldn't help but smile, relaxing as he returned the kiss.
"...I know. I..."
He sighed.
"I need to get over my phobia. Use Angel..."
He'd rather she go all out. Just his first defeat so learning moment for him.
"Yeah..."
He gave a soft laugh.
"...They invited me back for next year."
He leaned against Silver, giving a soft smile.
"Got bloody trashed... Even Alex was down in two hits... I let them down. I...should have used my new Sharpedo but...I was too scared, too... Him and Cotton would have done so much more..."
"Thank you, Reina. I...might do that. It was fun. I can tell Alex and Laura enjoyed it. Even if I let Laura down..."
Rex frowned softly once left alone after the match. His Gallade, Alex, was still trying to do his job of supporting him, right next to him after being healed.
"...I'm going to be alright, buddy. I probably should have used Cotton and Angel with you, instead. I was too careful..."
Rex gave a soft sigh, clutching Emily's Pokéball. But he wasn't going to be sore loser... He just...felt he'd let them down...
It wasn't until she spoke that he looked up with a soft smile.
"It...was fun. New guy got a pro. I...honestly felt good that I managed to put up that much of a fight."
//Yeah. Rex just wanted to try.
