Can anyone point me to articles exploring being a parent or becoming a parent while enrolled in a psychology doctoral program? There’s research from social work and mental health counseling on this topic, but it’s tough to find articles focused on the experiences of psychologists-in-training.
I’m preparing a talk about effective self-disclosure for mental health professionals treating addictions and curious for thoughts on this topic from professionals as well as patients/clients/consumers. What qualities make a helper’s self-disclosure effective or ineffective?
