Loving the bad attitudes expressed here. The IRS is under funded and under staffed so it will be interesting to see how they deal with tax resistance.

“Very attainable” to organize 8 million people to strike? Strike to stop federal tax withholdings on their paychecks?

It's our duty to hold our gov't accountable for effective governance as outlined in the Constitution. We’re the National Tax Strike and we’re calling on Americans to immediately STOP paying federal income taxes to protect our civil liberties and keep the federal government accountable to the public.

I think that’s strategically wise. I am sure Trump wants violence. He is violent and looking for a reason to turn the US military on its own citizens. All other types of radical non violent disruption come first. Boycotts, national strike, mass protests and tax revolt. All at the same time. Touché

Folks - we must think outside of the box. National strike? File exempt on out W2’s all on the same day for weeks until the US Citizens demand to impeach Trump? There are no rules anymore - we can do what we want too! WE PAY THESE PEOPLE WITH OUR TAX MONEY. Let’s stop doing so.

We need to have a national tax strike. There is no taxation without representation and these people certainly do not represent at least 50% of the American people.

So with a federal tax strike, I’m thinking of just filing my taxes and then if I owe more than what’s already been taken from my paycheck, donate that amount to a national fund or charity I want to support, keep the receipt and call it a day.

The perfect response and not just for Maine. We should be considering a national tax strike in response to the GOP's budget cuts to vital services and huge tax cuts to billionaires!

Workers have no choice—Federal income tax is taken directly from our paychecks. A national strike has been kicked around as an idea, but it’s not sustainable, most people live paycheck to paycheck with no savings to cover living expenses.

I realize too many of us could not afford a 30 day national strike. That might at least get their attention.
