Um belo filme com o Robert Duvall que é pouco visto é The Lightship, único filme que Jerzy Skolimowski fez em Hollywood. Ele esta maravilhosamente malevolente como um gângster que sequestra o navio titulo. Lembro que a Cinemateca Uruguaia tinha um 35mm que passou por aqui uns 20 anos atrás.
My one memory of it is the very stupid scene with the kids watching the original movie in the house.

I remember when I was a teen, this was often mentioned as a serious Hollywood movie about urban violence. I assume time was not very kind to it and that it being more ambitious than your average buddy cop movie highlights the issues.
It is interesting how distant American government is from the arts. His tweet would be very normal around here and I assume in many other places.
Acho que não fico tão triste com a noticia da morte de um cineasta nonagenário desde o Resnais doze anos atrás.
Wiseman foi o melhor e mais importante cineasta norte americano das últimas seis décadas e os filmes que ele fez ali entre At Berkeley e Menu Plaisirs no final da vida são muito vitais, e mantinham um esforço de relação com o mundo que poucos artistas da idade dele mantiveram.
