circling back to the belief in the wage gap though, pay discrimination on the basis of such things as race, sex, religion, gender, etc. has been illegal since the 1970's so if you suspect it and can organize with your coworkers then your employer may be in legal trouble if you prove it in court.

or the way men and males are painted as more violent and thus often denied DV support when in reality more than 2/3rds of unprovoked violent abusers are women.

such as the belief in the half truth "the wage gap" between sexes for the same work when in reality for the same work women on average actually make more than men, though men on average tend towards fields with higher risk of injury or death and thus there is hazard pay.

i'm not really sure how to approach it sometimes when i see people i know are well meaning and good people prop up some things i know to though be half truth if not myths that prop up fascist ideologies though commonly accepted as reality and things they think need to be addressed.

it's weird, but a decade after the fact i found out half the people i use to know thought i was weird as fuck and tried to ostracize me over it, and the other half had a crush on me. meanwhile i was oblivious to both.

one thing i know, i could never really get by under capitalism or in a society that tolerates actual abusers and punishes those who stand up for them. don't know if i'll survive to see what comes next but can't wait for this system to end.

i don't know if it's because i'm autistic or just the conditions i live under and the luck of the draw but i've spent half my life just looking for work, and fighting various abusers who run the communities i've interacted with. i think capitalism is the thing that encourages abusers to thrive.
