It also challenges the myth that these medications are being used as a drug of abuse
ADHD medication associated with reduced rates of suicide, substance misuse, transport accidents and criminality in Swedish study of 148,581 people π
This challenges the view that ADHD meds only help core symptoms.

My #BIGSPD25 poster contribution, challenging the βBPDβ diagnosis & current practice of using OOA placement. If you fancy a chuckle at my poor presentation skills give the central QR code a scan & Iβll talk at you for about 15 minutes π
Thanks BIGSPD. I have had an amazing time in the exec, met so many passionate and thoughtful people along the way and see the conference grown into a unique and (quite frankly) the most amazing co produced space. Wishing you all the best as you plan #BIGSPD26
Next up: Maxine Dennis. I love her already. #TheGlobalMajority is the term she uses vs βethnic minorityβ. The difference between how Global Majority ppl enter services (higher involuntary) and seen as older, treated harsher than others #BIGSPD25
In the pre conference @bigspd.bsky.social exec meeting. Lots of excitement about the programme for the annual conference for the biggest BIGSPD so far with 585 delegates
Co President @garylamph.bsky.social is especially excited about welcoming our delegates to fantastic Liverpool.

Somewhat intrigued. Have you got a debating counterpart yet?
I think it is a great framing to the question of rehab placements. If there is disquiet about their use, then why are they so widely used?

Great to meet you too @matthewbroome.bsky.social I find Jungian theory a really helpful lens to understand affective and psychedelic neuroscience.
Looking forward to our upcoming podcast on hallucinations and the perception of reality
Robust evidence for continuity of care in primary care but just as important in mental health IMO.
If we want to deliver the βleft shiftβ in mental health relational practice is key to secondary prevention

Good to see you today Keir. It may have been the final ERG but a lot more work required on the project to effect the changes we need to see in our servicesβ¦

I can imagine!
Will definitely take you up on the visit.
The unconscious is, afterall unconscious.
Winnicottβs work on playing & the βexperienceβ of newness that emerges when playing with another affirms through a creative connection both between others & within oneself. He suggested key to what is therapeutic but quick to add often a terrifying process
Well done Suz, your nomination was really well deserved.
Great to meet you and your fantastic OT colleagues at the SPFT awards last night.

I think that is more accurate. There is good practice in regulation which should be highlighted and supported. Definitely need for reform as remains open to abuse
A bit of a sweeping statement IMO. The psychoanalytic schools are regulated by the British Psychoanalytic Council. I teach at the British Psychotherapy Foundation The inspections are pretty similar experiences to medical regulation. Always a work in progress but definitely regulated www.bpc.org.uk
Can you add me please Kate?
Thanks Matthew, have decided to come over to the other sideβ¦.
