I’m so glad Kemeela was found safely.

Hey Saint Paul! 👋

Have you met Council Committee leadership yet? Take a moment to see which Councilmembers are leading each committee and helping guide the work of our city.

By redirecting $1.42M to the Emergency Rental Assistance (ERA) program, the City Council and Mayor's Office are strengthening our capacity to deliver for Saint Paul residents.

Credit goes to HRA Chair and Councilmember Johnson for her leadership in reviving and championing ERA!

Nearly a year after Lunds & Byerlys closed, Aldi to open in downtown St. Paul The German discount grocer applied for a permit to remodel the former Lunds & Byerlys space in downtown St. Paul. The area hasn’t had a full-service grocery store in almost a year.

This is wonderful news! We cannot have food/grocery store deserts anywhere in our City. Our community, our residents deserve to not have to drive over city borders for a grocery store. Glad to see ALDI USA is coming to downtown Saint Paul.

This month, the Saint Paul City Council unanimously passed three ordinances (26-5, 26-6, 26-7) focused on public safety and trust.

They make one thing clear: Saint Paul city employees will not carry out ICE enforcement.

SPPD has confirmed that the person is not dead. They pulled the sheet over their own face as they were wheeled away on a stretcher, presumably to avoid being photographed.

Right now, rental support is one of the greatest needs in the metro for families - especially immigrant families. Evictions are on the rise again & so is the # of families who no longer feel safe going to work. This is the right move & I look forward to proposing something similar here in St. Paul!

I’m on the scene at Franklin and 1st. A convoy of about a couple dozen ICE/HSI agents broke the entryway into an apartment building at 6am. No warrant presented. Less than 24 hours ago, Tom Homan announced the end of large convoys in Minnesota… Bullshit.

When the Governor says the world is watching - he’s 100% correct. This past weekend, I joined @aljazeera.com to talk about the harm ICE is causing Minnesotans. We see clearly who this siege on our City is working for & it’s not us. Full video can be found here: youtu.be/2YqIUw-CW-A

Them: What’s give you hope?
Me: Pulled up to caucuses tonight and the line was out the door in SD67.
Them: SD67 - one of the SD’s with low voter turnout?
Me: Yes. This year - line was out the door! MN is not backing down!
