Billionaires.
24"x18" oil on canvas. I took the reference photo of the Venus Victrix at the Borghese Gallery in Rome. My goal was to contrast the stoic posture of the marble sculpture with the enthusiastic tourists.
14"x11" oil on canvas. Fast study of the Bixby Bridge, located on a beautiful section of the coastal highway just south of Monterey, CA.
14"x18" oil on canvas. Still life of olive oil, fruit and flowers. It was a fast, fun painting.

Maduro is a brutal and oppressive dictator of Venezuela.
Trump has no legitimate legal basis for military action against Venezuela under United States or international law.
Both of those facts are simultaneously true.
Not sure I understand why he said, "Enjoy what may be your last Merry Christmas." I thought everything was amazing. He paints a very ominous picture of 2026. Midterms can't get here soon enough.
24"x18" oil on canvas. The reference photo was taken by my nephew (Jonathan Extract) while he was visiting Peru. He captured a local hiking the Rainbow Mountain range. I love the nonchalance the man exudes; playing his ukulele, with backpack, boogie board and pack horse.
14" x 11" oil on canvas. The reference photo for this painting was taken by the Merced River in Yosemite Valley by my sister as a storm approached. I really love that she was fortunate to capture the last sunlight striking the distant fields before things got ugly.
18"x24" oil on canvas.
18"x14" oil on canvas. Wine tasting at a Napa Valley winery. Love the dappled light and sun-drenched fields.
24"x18" oil on canvas. My goal was to emphasize the colors, shadows and reflections created by strong early morning sun. The calm water seems to inspire the fishermen to go about their business in a relaxed manner.
24"x18" oil on canvas. I took the reference picture while visiting Monterey, CA many years ago. I like the composition, the play of light, the boulder textures, and the subtle greens and blues in the ocean colors. Enjoy!
14"x18" oil on canvas. I shot the reference photo for this painting from the rear platform while riding on the Hyde Street cable car. Enjoy.
14"x11" oil on canvas. Adams Township Community Park has a nice, paved walking trail. We enjoy it, even in winter.
12"x16" oil on canvas. I created this painting from an old photograph (circa 1940) of my grandfather Sam, sitting on bags of grain in his barn. Working in a limited palette is fun.
16"x12" oil on canvas. Tourist admires the ancient Temple of Concordia at the Valley of the Temples, Agrigento, Sicily.
16"x12" oil on canvas. My love of Granny Smith apples is endless.
16"x12" oil on canvas. Painting of my wife Mary Lou while we enjoyed a walk along a road near Modica, Sicily.
24"x18" oil on canvas. Little Buffalo Creek follows our favorite bike trail (Butler-Freeport) near Cabot, PA. Early autumn colors are enchanting.
16"x20" oil on canvas. Here's my limited palette study of the late, great Joe Pass.
24"x18" oil on canvas. The reference photo of the Tiber River was taken while on holiday in Rome. What a beautiful city! My focus in this painting was to explore the complex colors of the river and the sky.
16"x20" oil on canvas. The Museum Visit is one of my favorite paintings.
Yes, but the next phase is the wood turning into ant food.
20"x16" oil on canvas. I shot the reference photo as I stepped out of Lucca Ristorante on Craig Street. I love the mixed light temps, the glare of the car headlights and the placement of people. I was looking for a good night painting, and this one worked well.
16"x12" oil on canvas. Just another day at Grace & Abe's cafe near Chautauqua Lake.
