OSU students: chalk your goodbyes all over campus!
Seems pretty clear historically that if as a leader or just politician in office you have to repeatedly answer questions and make claims about why the present is not "a time to panic," then you are NOT doing well. 🗃️
I'd just like some qualified candidates and only qualified candidates for ...
everything ...
please.
Can never forget, and never will.
Good reminder there. His tragic legacy is one of quashing free speech in virtually every form--banning chalking, banning non-OSU brand dorm room decor, changing rules for public speech, sending the police in to beat student protesters, offensively "sunsetting" diversity programs + centers.
No Ohio State president has exited as planned since 1981

We live in a world with so many self-proclaimed "leaders" and yet so few actual leaders.

Ohio State University’s right-wing authoritarian president, Ted Carter, posted photos from Trump’s State of the Union of himself posing with Republicans but will not let OSU students chalk about their political views on their own campus.
This sign critiquing Admiral Ted Carter for his many compromises that harmed OSU students, faculty, staff, alumni - on SB1, closing diversity centers & programs long in advance of legislative mandates, banning chalking, sending police to crackdown student protests, lasted longer than he did at OSU.
This is exactly right. OSU faculty, staff, and especially students need and demand better. Real leadership means courage, deep principles, and it means modeling best behavior and core values in all aspects of the job and life.

This sends a strong message that top-tier academics seeking employment at Oklahoma universities should look elsewhere immediately. Why pursue a job here under such a repressive climate?”

Recent polling confirms that the vast majority of college students including self-defined republicans & conservatives do not feel censored, punished, or indoctrinated by faculty, further undermining the case for all these taxpayer funded right-wing civics centers hechingerreport.org/politicians-...

Props to @radiofreetom.bsky.social for telling the plain truth here:
