Ah ๐ค
@fbpech
Brexit? HUGE mistake! A DISASTER โผ๏ธ We MUST rejoin EU as soon as feasibly possible. Iโm pro inclusion, ๐ณ๏ธโ๐,โ๐พ+equality. On the left ๐ Pro: UBI, PR, nationalisation of utilities/public sector #SaveOurNHS Likes : โ๏ธ, dogs, gardening, music, countryside, ๐ญ ๐ณ
Ah ๐ค
Shabana Mahmood has to be let go.
Yes, they have changed hugely, perhaps theyโll be a reset now the Mandelson whisperer has gone?
www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...
When we suffer this rise in our already shocking, unmanageable C of L crisis, pls donโt blame the incumbent gov, because itโs not down to them - but Trump.
- And then, remember that his English clone whoโd like to supplant this gov, would do the same as Trump.
www.theguardian.com/politics/202...
Labour could never win the hearts and minds of their core voters/members with Lady Macbeth impersonator Shabana Mahmood in the Home Office. Labour is about fairness and compassion - or it was.
Have they changed their core values?
Itโs very frightening. Stock up with tinned food!
At the most basic level of 'have some self-respect', Conservative MPs should not put forward someone who visibly is not intellectually equipped to be prime minister as their candidate to be prime minister.
Absolutely
But why?
youtu.be/dFPp2nU4DxQ?...
This! ๐คฌ
This is why Trump, Farage, Tories and any politicians that rubbish climate change are murderers; because if they had their way they would accelerate our collective demise.
Labour's @JohnHealey_MP - "We do not want to see Israel expand this conflict further into Lebanon. We urge de-escalation and the return to a negotiated process."
โWay too lateโ doesnโt even touch it. Go back to December 2023, stop shouting about how you are shoulder to shoulder with their fascist government; threaten Europe-wide sanctions instead and *actually work to apply them in government* if you donโt get compliance, or: shut the fuck up and resign.
www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...
Indeed ๐๐ผ
So would Tony Blair, who should be treated as a pariah like his friend Peter Mandelson, for his (unwanted) opinions on joining the American offensive. Apparently he calls such wars โblood warsโ - not his familyโs blood ๐ฉธ of course: but yours and mine.
Bombers that are using our bases.
Bombing drones is ineffective, I believe.
As it is, for all the praise Starmer is getting now for not being a complete lunatic and listening to Reform or the Tories, Polanski is better aligned with national opinion.

This article is very comprehensive and accurate; itโs what most thinking people believe. Faith in the future has all but disappeared for the majority who arenโt the privileged or wealthy. That we have a declining birth rate is indicative of that absolute disillusionment with the status quo.
This is brilliant from @labourlewis.bsky.social. www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...
One can only hope that at least some of the Parliamentary Labour Party can derive some advantage, or at least insight, from Clive spelling out here WHY half of them are likely to lose their seats to Greens.
Well worth a read . Clive Lewis on the collapse of Politics itself: www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...
How can a country have enough idiots to elect such an idiot to run their countryโฆ.. wait a minute we in the U.K. got Johnson and it seems thereโs enough idiots here that are prepared to vote for Farage, I guess itโs true, birds of a feather do flock together.
Idiots vote for idiots .
I agree. Many politicians havenโt a clue.
Wife had to finish work early due to arthritis , can't claim a dam thing , so both of us are living off one pension , and yes we are bloody struggling , politicians in all main parties are all bought and paid for by large corporations corruption is rife , apart from @zackpolanski.bsky.social greens
Weโre not living in poverty but we canโt afford baths. We have showers.
Pensioners in poverty skip baths as water bills rise.
Full state pension (received by 35% of pensioners) is less than 50% of minimum wage.
2m UK pensioners live in poverty.
In 2024-25, 88,000 pensioners died in poverty.
Govts don't curb profiteering.
Poverty is a political choice.
(Yes, we are so vulnerable outside of the EU )
The problem is, I think much of the establishment is the same. Look at the lack of compassion from the government (not the people) towards Gaza. Look at how Tony Blair is sabre rattling now - an ex- Labour Prime Minister. I do feel that ordinary ppl are generally expendable in wars and in life.
Good. I hope it stays that way.
Oh.
But I hope youโre right: that he continues not to waver.
