Maybe it’s just the trauma talking and lots of experience with narcissistic personalities, but I don’t think Trump is as scary as he is made to be. Narcissists always get in their own way eventually; soon enough the trash will take itself out.
In closing, and just in case he ever comes across this post, I would just like to thank Stephen King for the books that gave me an escape from my reality when life was really scary. I don’t remember all of them, but some I will never forget.
Recently through my journey of healing from trauma, I discovered it is common for kids to become bookworms. I think even more telling is the fact that I read horror for fun. I can’t watch a scary movie, but I’ll read a scary book. The trauma of my childhood was more scary than a Stephen King book. 👇
I had a traumatic childhood. My dad was an addict. My mom is a narcissist. The horror books were my favorite. Christine, Pet Cemetery, even the shirt stories and the Richard Bachman short stories. I read the stand when I was 15 in about 5 days. 👇
Today I commented on a Stephen King post. When I was a kid, probably younger than recommended, I read all the books of his that I could get my hands on. Even found a book of his the summer I spent in Italy living with my aunt. Looking back it makes sense. 👇

30 days into the 4th year of my sobriety 11 days into the Trump presidency. I’m taking a planned hiatus from my sobriety in August for my daughter’s 21st bday in Vegas. For the first time in 3 years I COUNTING the days until I get to drink… Trump presidency’s are the worst. 🤦🏻♀️
