๐ง Resting-state fMRI is often treated as the gold standard for studying the brainโs intrinsic organization.
But is it actually the best way to estimate functional architecture?
We tested this directly.

DNN models of the brain are getting bigger. Are we replacing one complicated system in vivo with another in silico?
In new work, we seek the *smallest* DNN models of visual cortex, balancing prediction with parsimony.
It turns out these compact models are surprisingly small!

(Perceptual) space and time are warped by the gravity of objects and events in their vicinity. There's been a flurry of work recently documenting examples of this gravity, all resulting in some really neat illusions.

RSA folks: How would you estimate the "dimensionality" of time-resolved neural (e.g., iEEG or M/EEG) RDMs?
I have been running MDS at each time point and using the scree "elbow", but I feel there should be a more principled way to estimate the RDM dimensionality?
