They still think they can recoup lost votes by trotting out this line. ‘We’ll agree to mitigate the smell while kicking the rotten fish round the back of the bins’. They need to call Brexit out for the utter disaster it’s been and they’ll find they get more support for that than they might imagine.
Important stuff: there’s a misconception that the ceramic industry is based on gas as the energy source. In fact, many processes are electric while electric kilns + furnaces are used for various applications and there'll be many more of them in use in the future.

While this report is local, from a panUK POV there're good points. Importantly not only a high carbon footprint associated with brick imports, but some of these – certainly £millions worth – are the result of bonded and child labour. This can't be allowed to stand.
