Normalize laughing derisively in men's faces when they deserve it.
Oh hello Bluesky - it's been a while 👋
I hope a lot of white women are seeing all those MAGA men out there claiming that Renee Good deserved to be publicly executed simply because of the way she looked and sounded - and are thinking “wait a minute, she looked and sounded just like me.”
Looking for #Shropshire people to meet on Bluesky?
I put together a starter pack for you. As more people from the county join, I’ll add them.
Hope you find it helpful 😊

I am very excited to share the news about the Government’s free Breakfast Club scheme, now open for early adopter applications!
I strongly encourage any state-funded schools in #Broxtowe to apply and become one of the 750 early adopters.

Linguists, is there actually work on this kind of unconventionalized onomatopoeia? 🐦🐦
A white twunk (he's too muscly to be a twink but do correct me if I'm wrong) Merman is suspended by a golden cord on a display rack. His tail is striped candy cane-style in pink and red on a white background. His hair is pink and quiffed. He's wearing a coy, eyes-lowered expression and a white halter-neck baking apron-and that is all he has on; one apron strap has twisted and slipped down his right arm. He's holding a slice of pink and white fruit-topped cake to his lips and the cut cake in his other hand. The slogan on his apron? "Santa I can explain." I bet you can, sweetheart.
Daddy Merman is wearing an unbuttoned union suit (a onesie in modern parlance) in a bright, shimmery red- right down to his tail. His well-kept and toned hairy chest and belly are on display. On his head, a red Santa hat with a white pompom. His beard and moustache are grey and his eyes and smile are kindly. One hand clutches a teddy bear and the teddy bear has one arm wrapped around his daddy's wrist.
Two lovely freshly-showered men before or after exertion are looking straight at you. The guy on the left is Black with very well-developed pecs, trimmed body hair, thick thighs and a tiny white towel which barely hides what you'd like to see. One eyebrow is tilted. The white guy on the right looks a little like Ryan Reynolds on steroids. He's muscled, well hairy, wearing a loosely belted baby blue towelling dressing gown hanging open to reveal one thigh and holding a rubber duck in his left hand. Both guys have enormous, broad feet. Neither skip leg day. I am starting to worry about how much I am enjoying writing these descriptions.
This Merman is very proud. His tail is shocking pink and glittery with a black studded waistband and rainbow logo. He's naked apart from a rainbow Pride flag slung loosely around his shoulders. He's wearing a medallion of some sort. This guy likes the gym by the look of his upper body but his forearms are slight by comparison. His hair is black, slicked back and close-cut and he's wearing aviator-style sunglasses
More amazing tree ornaments from December Diamonds (yes, I bought them all)

A white swan on the Newport canal basin, Shropshire, UK. The sun is just starting to rise over the opposite bank.
A cold but pretty morning on the Newport canal, #Shropshire.
I love these walks at sunrise ☺️
That combination (including the wine!) sounds verrry tempting right now 😂

Finally got around to watching #Elementary (so late to the party, yet again...) and it's *brilliant*
My favourite Holmes? Possibly...
My favourite Watson? Absolutely!
Screen shot of CoCA output showing "glass half full" (n = 123) is twice as frequent as "glass half empty" (n = 54)
Optimist: glass half full
Pessimist: glass half empty
Corpus Linguist: Which word most frequently appears in the phrase "glass half *"?

Whilst searching Morris dancing on here and already finding some good friends We came across some posts discussing 'blackface' makeup in Morris.
Whilst Wild Moon do wear black 'mask' makeup we have never used full blackface makeup and never will. This tells you why.

Trans bathroom bans are bad for all of us, for MANY reasons. Aside from their obvious discrimination against trans people—what they say, at heart, is “You body, especially what’s in your pants, decides what rights you get.” I hope cis folks, especially my fellow cis women, see the dangers here.
A Shropshire landscape with moody skies and a solitary tree in the distance
#Shropshire really is exceptionally beautiful in every way isn’t it! Even in #blackandwhite
Sometimes I’ve taken pics and they just don’t work but they come alive once desaturated. This was one of them #photographer #shrewsbury
