In Listening & Talking we started learning about note taking. We read information about the creator of Lego, Ole Kirk Christiansen, then made notes in the form of a mind map. 🤩👏🏼
We worked very hard to innovate our story maps on the Three Billy Goats Gruff. We focussed on changing the verbs to make the story more interesting.
A very busy day in P2 today! We enjoyed working on our number recognition to 100, completed subtraction calculations, solved magnetic mazes and worked with friends to complete jigsaw puzzles.

Lots of super play today in P2. Our experiment resources led to some amazing discussions and trying lots of different adaptations to see how we can make the ball travel further.
After learning about push and pull forces we used these forces to make a ball of playdough into an elephant with a friend. 🐘

In Maths today we worked with a friend to complete a money challenge. We had to work out other ways to make the same amount then cut & stick the coins.
As if our day wasn’t busy enough, we also managed to fit in completing our story map for the 3 Billy Goats Gruff.

We used the iPad today to access the internet, type in the name of a toy we explored yesterday, find a picture of it and save it to the photo album on the iPad! I was so impressed by the tech skills in P2, Well Done! 🤩
Yesterday we thoroughly enjoyed exploring some of our own toys from home. We worked together to figure out how they worked and if they had any forces involved.
We thoroughly enjoyed some of our classroom rainbow play activities today. We are consolidating our learning and working on various skills through these tasks each day.
We worked as a team to create a class story map for our Talk 4 Writing story, The 3 Billy Goats Gruff. We created actions to help us remember the story too.
We kick started our morning being asked to build a bridge… we later discovered why! Our new Talk 4 Writing story is all about the 3 Billy Goats Gruff.

Our Literacy carousels have been super the last few weeks. We have 4 activities and move round these in our groups. Today we really enjoyed making our spelling words with playdough as part of this. 😀
We visited all the classes in school today to carry out a survey about their favourite pet. We used tally marks to gather this data before presenting it on a bar graph. We shared the results with our class & discussed the data.

Lots of super fun in P2 today. We enjoyed consolidating our learning from the week & managed to squeeze in some super role play in our supermarket.

We had lots of great fun in our new Supermarket! We wrote shopping lists, receipts, paid for items & demonstrated some super customer service! 🤩 We also had some activities to consolidate our learning about Venn diagrams & adjectives.

In Maths today we learned all about Venn diagrams. We enjoyed placing our vote in the diagram for each of the categories.
