Thank you!
Was really excited to see my picture in 1894, Louisiana Tech University's alumni magazine! Feels good to be able to brag to my fellow Bulldogs. There will be plenty more good news to share soon.
Look, all I'm saying is that a certain Targaryen would have been fine if he was wearing one of these:
A happy magic frog that says poof. You are now untired and very happy.

BREAKING: The Department of Education has ended its directive that attempted to restrict diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts in schools nationwide.
This is a victory for academic freedom and education equity.
So excited to check out the issue! The Bayou team's done great work with this one from what I've seen.
Day 1/365:
Short Story: "The Windkeeper" by Simo Srinivas
Poem: "Eight Beautiful Things" by Matt Mason
Essay: "The Laundry Hangs at Noon" by Ginger Tolman
Thoughts: Ronn recommends starting with the masters, but I thought a better start to this challenge would be journals I know. Worked out well!
Writing and making art and working and trying to pay bills while the world is on fire
Congratulations!!! π

And that's another one in the books! (Get it?) Check out my latest publication, "Intertwined", sitting pretty over at Red Coyote! I want to thank the editors for putting their trust in my little horror plant story. It's a privilege and an honor to see my work in print.
I've been wanting to read I Heard You Paint Houses for years and I was FINALLY able to find it on Libby this weekend. Finished it in 2 days and, let me tell you, it did not disappoint. Amazing book with some intriguing insight into mafia life.

I just finished reading this story and it is beyond incredible! Felt like I didn't blink once the whole time I was reading. Thank you for sharing you work.

At a panel I was on I was asked how it is that idiots tend to get ahead in politics despite them being idiots. Ms. Dorothy answered that question in the 40s:
Same, but I need to stop looking at it right when I wake up. Nothing like hearing dystopian news before breakfast.
Third Lantern Lit is one of the greatest organizations I've ever been involved with. Their readings, galas, and events introduced me to what my writing life could be like after graduation and led to me meeting so many wonderful people, something I'll be forever grateful for.
