Yeah like Part 2 has absolutely been hitting the same highs as Part 1 for me, pretty consistently, in terms of writing quality so I've never really felt like there's been much of a dip at all

I'm also just gonna hold out on full judgement until the chapter drops because. Yknow. That's what matters.

It does feel like Fujimoto has just hit his limit, which does suck, but I'm never gonna fault a manga creator ESPECIALLY for SJ for going "Yeah nah I can't keep doing this"

But his actual output hasn't really suffered much for it outside of the art being patchy sometimes imo

The ending definitely feels like it's gonna be rushed (though we'll see how the actual execution is) just cus of how sudden it is but I honestly haven't really been disappointed with Part 2 at all, even now

A lot of people are reacting really negatively and I don't really get it

I will say I like all the parallels the penultimate chapter draws to the early story

Fujimoto's still got it even when he's tired and tapping out

He's been very vocal about wanting to purely write manga and move away from drawing it and that's absolutely the correct decision for him

Hoping the final chapter lands well and he's able to come back even stronger

Honestly I'm not gonna even hold anything against him at all because like, even with the Jump+ schedule I don't fault anyone for going "This is too much, I cannot keep doing this" especially if there was a possible health scare or something

I've still been really enjoying Part 2 of Chainsaw Man but seeing we're one chapter away from the end is disappointing

Fujimoto really just went "Fuck it I'm not drawing anymore, I'm out"
