A partially painted miniature figure of a strange being with purple armour and large blades sprouting from their arms. There are eight additional arms appearing in a fan shape behind their head. The figure is shown next to a paint bottle for scale.
A little bigger but a similar colour scheme for this quick sketch today
We went on Tuesday, much more fun than I expected.
Any game I can actually get to play
That is a truly fantastic find
A model of a couple wrapped in purple sheets, hand painted in oils.
My first experience of painting with oils. Had a wonderful time last weekend on a workshop with Jakob Villien organised by Journeyman Miniatures.
I can safely say this is something I will continue to experiment with.

Exceedingly important discovery: Ikea Kallax shelves are exactly two LEGO studs wide. A simple bracket shape like this will stay in place without any support.
I went through a huge Heinlein phase as a teenager, managed to collect almost all of his works from second hand bookshops. Still have this edition, I love those old covers.
Hey, Gundam nerds. My son's mad on the little robot dudes right now. Are there any decent, English language printed magazines (not digital) out there you'd recommend?
I've already found a few Japanese ones, which are ace, but specifically after ones YOU can recommend from YOUR experience. Ta!
Picture shows elderly tortoiseshell cat walking across a table which has been set up with various terrain pieces in preparation for a game of Vanguard. There are stat cards and painted figures at the edge of the table ready to start playing.
We tried to play a game of Vanguard at the weekend. Someone had other ideas...
100% up for that
No idea what I'm doing, and a little sad you can only have 4 photos per post. But here is my last display piece that I was very proud of and was a gift for our friends.
I've not had time to dive into it properly myself but a number of folks I know use Obsidian for worldbuilding.
Apologies for the delayed response. We actually don't have a Kallax so can't comment on that one. Might be a bit of a high estimate for figures but that will very much depend on the figures involved. A quick estimate from one of our boxes would be closer to 100.
Really useful boxes with metal sheets at the bottom and magnets glued to the figure bases. Most small figures fit in 4l boxes, taller figures will fit if you use an XL lid and big figures will fit in a 9l box. Lids are interchangeable between the two sizes and they stack together.
