when I'm rich I'm buying every one of these people headphones, I'm also buying many tubes of superglue but that part will remain a secret until later.
Stay strong sir, it's england, surely it can't be long until it rains!
thanks :) Despite the challenges, alot about life is so much better, wish I'd done it years ago. Better now than never though!

ah damn sorry man!! An ex of mine was a vet nurse and I remember her telling me how tricky and uncertain rabbit surgery can be, even quite trivial things. Shit news, sending hugs :(
yeah exactly! Developers like Charles at @tritik.bsky.social , Patrick at @tal-software.com, Xavier at Xils-Labs etc. etc. who do it largely alone, I feel like deserves even more respect than those with big teams behind them. Even Unfiltered Audio are just 2 guys (Josh&Mike, great guys!!)
top down view of a white plastic board with a grid of holes which are internally connected in such a way they allow you to prototype relatively simple electronic circuits without soldering etc.
btw this kind of breadboard, not the board that you slice bread on :)
Also sometimes Veroboard but mostly I dig the simplicity of breadboards.
my youth with Electronics & Music Maker magazine and random other publications with circuit diagrams to build. Reclaimed components I'd desolder from donated old radios etc. and a Breadboard, it was amazing what you could make. Should get back to that.

My good friend Charles at Tritik has released a real time Spectrogram plugin, it's free/pay what you wish (additional features with paid version). While you're there check out his other cool devices, some of which contain presets from me.

I work at home and sometimes the guy across the road practices sax, sometimes drums and another neighbour decided on drums last year too. Acoustic drums and no soundproofing, a particularly inconsiderate choice imo :)
Good luck!
Some other nice dynamics tools here for very reasonable cost but this π comprehensive metering plugin is

Historically I've used a couple of plugins from TBProAudio (click on Free Products), both digital and "VU" meters:

good meters are good!
yeah can't wait to try it when I have a second!

Its a modular node based patching environment for combining multiple processes from CDP together. It's cross platform (windows, mac and linux) and free to download."

congrats Ken! Quite a journey!! :)
After laboriously resurrecting my Zoom H5 from the sticky rubber mess it had become when the coating broke down,
now it won't see or format any SD cards, cards are fine in other devices.
Digital Schmigital! Decent quality portable tape recording that's not Nagra money? Any tips?

good to know, we have it queued up to watch. The soundtrack is getting a lot of praise so I'm keen to check it out.
A great chat with a lovely gent I admire a great deal, just over the water from me in Australia.

quite a lot of boat-related metallic items people had dropped overboard. Electronics, shopping trolleys, tools. Umm it was like 40 years ago and I did not think to make notes at the time. Stuff. Booty stuff. Booty! Metalbooty!
when I was young my parents had a canal boat and we used to magnet fish (if we're talking about the same thing). Some of the booty we pulled up out of the canal was pretty sweet.
huh I didn't know this, interesting information
yeah exactly!
Big thanks to @thebothand.bsky.social for featuring my track Nomad (as cole, originally out via @pointsourcearts.bsky.social π) on his show on Rough Radio. In some great company too :)

I dunno about better than the original but really great interpretations of tracks that you kinda think couldn't get any better:
Jonny Cash's version of "Hurt"
I haven't listened for quite a while but I really dug Placebo's cover of Running Up That Hill.
