Started up Pokémon Arceus again for the first time run, to get back into the franchise - I think they could’ve cut like, six of the 12 cutscenes you do inside this office before the game begins, but I’m having a good time

How's everyone doing? I look forward to nerding out more here in the New Year
"WarioWorld" is that Gamecube game that I played through a dozen times, and yet I'm still not convinced it was real and wasn't some kind of 3-AM Adult Swim fever dream
Welcome To Derry (2025)
It (2017)
Since I don't think everyone knows, in "Welcome To Derry", this character is the same Dick Halloran from The Shining. He contacted Pennywise using his "shine".
"Witch Hunt" is a great beginner horror game. I was delighted to find there was NO scripted jumpscares, but it's rather the in-the-moment intensity of hunting fast creatures with a single-shot rifle that has a 10 SECOND reload. It's the fear of, "If I miss this shot, I'm dead"
Every time Timothée Chalamet plays an adult role, this is what it feels like
Horror trivia of the day: Benedict Wong says the "Weapons" premiere was his first time seeing a horror movie in cinemas after a lifelong aversion to them, and he went so hard during his infamous chase scene that it took a year for his body to recover.
"Infested" (2023).
4 out of 5
You'll never leave your shoes on the ground again. Get past the forgettable character scenes (very make-them-argue-to-have-a-big-third-act-where-they-reconcile-yada-yada) and you'll be plunged into the nightmare spider horror film we have all been dreading.
That, or watching the actors behind the scenes to remind yourself that everyone is OK
The only creature in the universe I will let preach the bible to me

Going through old images I took in 2014 on a trip to Italy and I absolutely forgot about this sculpture they had in one of the museums
Old “Alien” fan art I did as a massive fan of “Alien Isolation”. Played it back in 2017 during a rough period and I immediately felt lost in its world. Did this photoshoot with practical blood in person and then did the rest in Photoshop
I cannot stop thinking about "Bring Her Back". It is rare that I'm thinking about a film for this long after. It goes to the truly obscene places these possession horror films wish they went. No priests in robes. Like Talk To Me: just one desperate woman working with forces she does not fully grasp.
Just started watching AS10 and this is what I'm picturing Irene's experience was like in the confessional booth on Episode 1
My apartment was freezing so I put on sandbox mode in "Teardown" and detonated a nuke next to 200 Minecraft Steves and proceeded to let my RIG become a space heater 😭
Talk To Me (2022)
Bring Her Back (2025)
(2/2)
This is not going to be everyone's cup of tea. But I'm liking it more and more that I dwell on it.
If I'm still thinking about a movie past the 10 minute car ride home, it's my recommendation to go see it.
So the thing about this movie: it somehow is even more purposefully dumb and cartoonish than even the ads let on. But you'd think they're just talking about the kills. Nope. There's entire blood free sequences that are flat-out Looney Toons cartoons. (1/2)
Haven't posted on here in a while!
What horror films has everyone been seeing? And who is seeing The Monkey tomorrow?
With Romulus 2 and Alien Isolation 2 on the way and now this, the Alien fans are about to feast
Osgood Perkins had his secretly gay father Anthony Perkins died from AIDS-related causes, and this was hidden from Oz by his mother (He said "Longlegs" helped him process this). She later died in Sept. 11; she was on Flight 11. His next film "The Monkey" is about how insanely random death can be.
I caved in and watched the clip from "The Monkey" because I needed to see how the hell this "head on fire and leg stuck in a vase" Final Destination kill was set up. This film is looking like "Home Alone" with copious gore.
I'm deeply enjoying Neon White. It's like a dream game for ADHD. But I was inspired to look up the reviews of the dialogue and I was not disappointed.
I only made it halfway through the second cutscene before calling it quits and just enjoying the gameplay. But damn, that gameplay.
New place to post every godforsaken thought I have! :D
