My new paper, co-authored with our late colleague F. Nazari, "Submerged Past: Dam Construction & Cultural Heritage Protection in Iran," examines the impact of dam projects since the 1950s, exploring policy gaps, funding challenges & emergency rescuesβ€”plus case studies & remote sensing insights.

Our collaboration with the MOTA and DOA teams has focused on their datasets, including damaged cultural heritage sites in #Gaza, archaeological sites in the Tafila region of Jordan, and Ammonite towers in Amman.
The outcome will be the publication of data papers in open-access journals.
