Chicago Collector (Karim)

On this day in 1887, Joseph Jefferson Jackson was born in Pickens County, SC. One of the greatest ballplayers of all-time, he’s mostly remembered today for how he left the game after the Black Sox Scandal. Here’s my painting of him in his first full year with the Cleveland Naps in 1911.

Wrapped up this little Satchel side quest. In the middle is the 1948 Team Issue real photo post card (RPPC) flanked by his 1953 Team Issue RPPCs. Someday it'd be great to upgrade these into signed copies (the leftmost has a secretarial signature on it).
