Guys. If Elon Musk controls communications with the entire civil service, & he controls the payment systems of the US Treasury, heβs quite a long ways in to running a coup.

βThereβs so much evidence that people are experiencing a much less traffic-congested environment,β said Janno Lieber, the MTA CEO. βTheyβre seeing streets that are moving more efficiently, and theyβre hearing less noise, and theyβre feeling a less tense environment around tunnels and bridges.β
Mitch McConnell ran a playbook of total opposition after the 2008 election and it resulted in Republicans flipping 6 senate seats and 63 house seats two years after the biggest Dem victory since LBJ
what the fuck are you people doing
Millionaires and billionaires would be perfectly FINE not getting salary for 33 days, or even 333 days.
The average American, folks like you and me working paycheck to paycheck, would not. Do NOT let billionaires make decisions for US.
PASS IT ON.

βIt's amazing how pollution has dropped in #Paris in 15 years. @annehidalgo.bsky.social has filled the city with bike-lanes & not only has she reduced pollution by 40% but sheβs also been re-elected.β
Trading car space for green space, bike space, kid spaceβ¦trading pollution for people. Good trade.

The weirdest Tintin story. Freaked me out majorly when I was a kid

Check out this view Mt Vernon from the top of the old Maryland Penitentiary. There's so much detail in this shot, from the Calvert Station yards and the Fallsway, to the Guilford streetcar elevated, at least one church that no longer exists, and Peabody and the Belvedere at the edges
That tracks

Why talk so much about bike infrastructure? Simple: we use it every day and it makes our lives better.
If our city didnβt have it, our lives would be worse. Weβd either spend more money or have less mobility. Weβd be less active and healthy.
More people should be this lucky.
