A screencap of a quote post of the original post with Alexander Kustov saying "P.S. This post was entirely generated and posted on Substack by agentic AI using my new Claude Code (Opus 4.6) workflow. Make of that what you will."
Note that the article itself was entirely generated using an LLM.
iNat is how I initially found out about this change when local identifiers started disagreeing with the computer vision. There's a good discussion about how curators are debating handling the new name, especially since it's not a straight across swap: www.inaturalist.org/flags/773287

The most satisfying days are when the whole team works together to solve whatever challenges arise with data collection. Often these are long days in the field where we all hike out tired but laughing and happy, looking forward to dinner and discussions of what we discovered that day.
Want to make your code better at running again in the future?
My talk next month will be filled with lots of tips about how to write sharable, reproducible R code and why it's good for science
Hope to see you there!

Crocheted model of a two-domain, mostly helical protein next to Carolineβs hand. Each domain is about the same size as her hand.
If youβre at #BPS2026, go look at Poster B49. Caroline Cannistra has some very detailed all-atom simulations of HIV capsid protein, and SHE CROCHETED A MODEL OF IT to demonstrate the dynamics.

Four researchers setting up experimental equipment on an alpine grassland, with mountain ranges and an overcast sky in the background.
π₯πΏWe simulated heatwaves on alpine plant communities at Mt Hotham, Australia, and found no effect on survival, diversity, or reproduction. Heat alone might not be the main threat, as high rainfall may have helped plants tolerate heat stress.

Yeah, seeing isn't a problem. If you lie down on your back and raise your head just enough to see over your toes, that's what the view is like.
Happy to answer questions, although it's been 20+ yrs! (I didn't make it past scouting camp b/c I was too small to carry the sled--a hidden requirement.)
You steer by shifting your weight, which is quite effective at those speeds. It's similar to how you steer a downhill sled. (I was talent scouted for luge in sixth grade so I've been on the Park City track a few times.)
