Oh ho ho Slay the Spire 2 is good
I think it's great for games you've already played a ton of Steam Deck so you know what to expect. But for like "let me try this while on my trip", nah.
Yea I really do enjoy Steam Deck, but I have to fiddle with it constantly. The exact opposite of what I want from a handheld.
Itβs a shame because thatβs literally what RE has been building to all these years since 7, so a lot of the back half just feels like a βRE greatest hitsβ. Itβs fine. Itβs fine. Thatβs about it.
I liked the first half a lot. The second half felt all over the place. The moment the gameplay really hits its stride with Grace in the hospital you switch to Leon and never go back to that experience again, save for one short segment late game.
Resident Evil 9 done. That was a video game.
I did! Altho if Iβm being honest itβs not because of the DQ elements lol
As an on again off again PokΓ©mon fan and a lover of Animal Crossing, would you say itβs worth it for me? I hear great things but also Iβm not like a PokΓ©mon mega fan or anything.
I just got back to Grace and this is night and day.
Maybe it will get better but I just had a third person shooter segment π©
God the back half of RE9 is just so...bad. This feels like a totally different game.
we've truly lost so much as a society since the ps3
i'm very excited for the new MGS collection to come out if only to reintegrate this gif into modern posting
same energy
Yea same. I don't hate it or anything, it's just not as interesting as the Grace stuff.
Yea I was so cold on Grace at the beginning but her section really comes online and feels great by the end. I wish the game just continued in that way tbh. And Leon can still have his little 15 mins moments here and there.
I think the weirdness for me is at the start Grace feels very much like "this is for fans of RE7" while Leon is "this is for fans of RE4" but the more you play the more the opposite is true. At the end of Grace stuff, it feels extremely classic (but modernized) RE.
look at how that dude holds his coffee cup π©(complimentary)
Itβs almost like they made two different games and smooshed them together
Man this flashback part sucks lol (Iβm doing it again lol)
Man RE9 has some really dumb missable stuff. Realized after a flashback I can no longer explore an entire area and I really do not want to do the entire flashback over again.
Yes! That was awesome.
I also didnβt love Grace at the start, too similar to RE7. But the gameplay loop really grew on me after a while and I was like NOW THIS IS RESIDENT EVIL.
I was excited to play as Leon but yea his later segments are just kind of a boring version of RE4.
yes
I don't hate it, but it feels like a weak version of RE4 with boring level design. Grace started slow (for me) and got great, Leon did the opposite. Not finished yet, but I just got to *that one place*.
the real ones get this joke
