NEWARK, N.J. (RNS) β The Newark bishops are the only confirmed U.S. bishops who plan to celebrate Ash Wednesday Mass in an ICE detention facility.

Cardinal Joseph Tobin of Newark went inside an ICE detention facility to celebrate Ash Wednesday Masses with detainees this morning.
We caught him as he was leaving the facility and asked why he chose to celebrate the holy day with ICE detainees.
