There have been GOTY-nominated titles and upgraded versions of generational games offered in the first 250 days of its life.
I know its sales have slowed. I know Mario Kart and Metroid Prime 4 missed the high bar set for it, in some people's eyes.
But let's stop pretending it's dead on arrival.
For years, people clamored for the Super Switch, an iterative upgrade of the 2017 console that is now Nintendo's most profitable hardware.
Kirby, Metroid, Donkey Kong, and Mario Kart all have new titles on the console.

Spending the evening finishing @mackeza.bsky.social’s new book Super Nintendo. I really love the way the narrative of the company’s biggest games are laid out here - well worth a read (or listen if you’re me)!
Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment is the most underrated game on the Switch 2. I wish we could get a few more side games in the BoTW/TotK Hyrule.
And I also love that he’s like “I just gotta make it through this shift and go on this trip” as if he somehow gets to leave himself behind at the hospital. Unfortunately, Robby, you bring allllll of that with you everywhere.
I’ve really appreciated the ways they’re letting it present itself that aren’t straight dialogue or literal panic attacks. It’s the lack of self-regulation in his nonverbals that I think are helping us catch up to how much turmoil he’s carrying.

I’m bored of the “this game looks better if you don’t play it on Switch/Switch 2” discourse.
Once ever three months, I put like 10 more hours into Disney Dreamlight Valley and it appears that will be happening again with the Switch 2 version launching.
I can’t believe how good the #FFVIIRemake port is for #Switch2.
Getting to play through this story on what’s becoming my most used console was a real treat - Nintendo fans need to own this game in their collection.

I love the new Joyce Manor record a lot - one run-through so far this morning.
I don't think we see them break out in a huge way because of the record, but it does feel a bit more accessible for folks who aren't embedded in the punk or emo scenes.

Finished up Half His Age by Jennette McCurdy.
I find there to be some really interesting themes that carry through from I'm Glad My Mom Died, I'm really interested to see where people fall on this one when more folks start finishing it. #booksky
Rolling Stone put up a piece about celebrities speaking out against ICE and one of the top comments said “since when do we care what celebrities have to say” so I clicked on her profile and a month ago she was telling everyone how excited she was to get Snoop Dogg’s cook book.
There are elements I really like and some things that didn’t hit with me, but the #cozygamers community seems to be right in line with me.
I think the influx of titles in a genre of softer, calmer games for all-ages is one of my favorite trends in the last decade of the medium.

Final Fantasy VII Remake runs like a charm on Switch 2.
I kinda expected more slip-ups, but 4 hours into gameplay for review over at @phenixxgaming.bsky.social, it’s looking and feeling great.
Hate to report all three of these are great, I look forward to saying I won't buy them and then making the impulse purchase when I'm weak.
