Heading into my final MA module this week with heaps of excitement and a generous sprinkling of anxiety. Just going to stay focussed and enjoy the ride.

I think we could all benefit from being a little bit more David Lynch.
David Lynch gave us the language we needed to better articulate the indescribable strangeness of our shared reality. βLynchianβ is so overused because itβs a viscerally understandable word without any known synonyms. I canβt imagine a more beautiful artistic legacy than that.
If youβre planning on watching any Lynch, my advice is: donβt watch any analysis videos, donβt think about what stuff is βsupposedβ to mean, just get your own unique experience from it!!
I think people have become far too concerned with the βcorrectβ interpretations of media. Just experience it!!!
Thinking of chapter names is easily the most fun part of the novel writing process for me.
Well, Iβve done it. Both assignments completed and submitted. It has been a crazy 12 weeks, but the teams at #Emmerdale and #CoronationStreet have been so helpful in my research. I couldnβt have done it without them ππ» Looking forward to much needed break!
90k is amazing! Good luck with the editing! Should be the fun part π
The main thing is youβre writing! Not tracking anything is sometimes a good way to focus on the story. Where do you like to write online?
Thatβs amazing! My current personal challenge is the same as yours. I want to get a decent draft completed by the end of December and then go into editing in the new year. Iβve found it so hard to focus in the past that getting any words down is an achievement for me.
Well done to anyone in the #writingcommunity who completed writing challenges in November ππ»ββοΈ Whatβs the word count looking like?
Oh lovely! I lived in Wensleydale for 13 yrs before coming to Whitby this year. I adore the Dales. Swaledale is gorgeous!
2 weeks left of my current assignment. I didn't think I could do it, but I've somehow managed to cut my film treatment from 5,000 words to the 1,500 word limit. Now I get to work on the fun part: pitch deck.
Iβm reading a festive Kiley Dunbar book at the moment. I donβt usually read Christmas books so thought Iβd try something new!
So happy to see @laurajayneish.bsky.social has joined us! π¦ #HorrorSky π½οΈ #FilmSky

Thatβs so great. Just shows that itβs good to experiment with different methods to see what works for you!
This is so helpful, thank you. Please feel free to add me. I'm here to connect!
That sounds like bliss to me β€οΈ. I love the sound of the rain.
I had to search recently how long it takes for a body to decompose and afterwards had a momentary panic about what that looks like from the outside. βItβs ok! Iβm writing a book!β
Thatβs amazing! Thereβs nothing quite like that feeling when the words come so easily. If only every project was like that π
Oh I love that!
One of my writing revelations this year is just how helpful outlining can be. I have been a proud pantser for years, but it turns out I work so much better with a plan. #writingcommunity
This is so helpful. Thank you!
Kudos for trying though!
Wow, prime location! When I lived in Leeds, the gallery was a regular haunt for me.
Yay! π

That sounds absolutely dreadful but at the same time it is an inspired idea. What a brilliant way to force yourself to just sit and get those words on the page.
