I'd much rather see a mature student who's done some self motivated preparation and who wants to be there than somebody with a clutch of ropey a levels who's only there because their family expects it.

Have you tried asking "Are you sure?" when it gets something right? I wouldn't be entirely surprised if it apologised for being wrong at least sometimes.

I feel much the same way about Edinburgh Old Town. None of us were alive when it was supposedly built, and it seems just as likely that the buildings spontaneously emerged when the earth formed.
