If anyone wants to try their hand at it, look at Paul Stamet’s website for types of wood that work. We have spare plugs in maitake that are thriving. Unsure about the shiitake plugs - they might have gotten warm.

1 month, 15 logs, about 1,000 holes drilled and filled, and 3 varieties of spore plugs later, we’re done!

In 6 months, if all goes well, we’ll have shiitakes. In 12 we’ll have a little lion’s mane. And in 2 years, testing every bit of patience and I can handle, we’ll have maitakes.

Finished our mushroom log plug project yesterday! It took us a month because of my interpretation of Eph’s statement, “let’s start small, like 3 logs.”

For a photo op & a bragging media post, Trump minions at the USACoE have thrown away millions of gals of #water farmers were relying on for later this year. This water will not be captured, will not be useful for cities or farms or firefighting. It is now lost.
