Today is the 40th anniversary of the Challenger tragedy, the day NASA lost seven astronauts: Francis R. (Dick) Scobee, Michael J. Smith, Judith A. Resnik, Ronald E. McNair, Ellison S. Onizuka, Gregory B. Jarvis, and Christa McAuliffe. Their sacrifice is memorialized at Arlington National Cemetery.
My wife informs me that apparently, on Sunday February 8, we're going to have to get chicken wings.

One of my teen kids is asking if anyone might remember a TV show she watched years ago. It was one episode in which a girl learns how to play tiddlywinks from her grandmother and then tells her parents she knows how to play tiddlywinks. It was a cartoon show. Does this ring a bell for anyone?
I had no idea that she was a member of our class! Looking forward now even more to reading the book.
