Thread reissue to correct an error on my part:

A few thoughts about the news that Gov. Whitmer's office wants to prove why no tornado watch was issued for the Three Rivers-Union City tornadoes - we can take this moment to be more introspective and and ask some important questions 1/18

If there's any time to be highlighting the research made possible under NOAA and its partnerships, it's right now. And that work is no joke.

Oh no! Several of the Regional Climate Centers have had their funding lapse through DOC/NOAA. These institutes are critical for connecting weather and climate data and services to local communities across the United States.

Spread the word to drive attention and support!

Stand Up for NOAA Research – The Time to Act is Now The AMS is a global community committed to advancing weather, water, and climate science and service.

The 2026 budget passback plan calls for eliminating NOAA Research, the scientific backbone that keeps weather forecasts, alerts, and warnings accurate and effective. This would have disastrous consequences.

wanted posters on a light post taken at night of Steve Nelson, president of Aetna, David Joyner, president & CEO of CVS Health. Both feature photos of the execs with three bullets labeled DENY, DEFEND, DEPOSE detailing the wrongs of the healthcare industry (but not legible enough in the picture to transcribe).

β€œHealthcare CEOs should not feel safe. Deny - Defend - Depose” it says at the bottom.

Communique:
On Wednesday morning over thirty CEOs will gather at the Conrad hotel for the second day of the Goldman Sachs Financial Services conference to discuss how they can become richer by extracting wealth, time, and energy from the working class from all over the world.
To welcome them, anon actionists put up wanted posters of the leeches attending the conference, including Martin Smalls of Black Rock, Robin Vince of BNY Mellon, Denis Coleman of Goldman Sachs, and of course, Brian Thompson, the former CEO of United Healthcare.
These CEOs run companies that control trillions of dollars by stealing money, time, and labor from the working class. Do they care about the problems of poverty, homelessness, and injustice at these conferences? No, and their actions are violent.
Health insurance companies (like financial services companies) don’t provide us with anything useful - they only limit our access to healthcare. Those who would steal from us have names, faces, and addresses. Justice will only come from the working class.

"If a woman doesn't look woman enough to a Republican, they want to be able to inspect your genitals to use a bathroom? It's disgusting.

Everyone should reject it completely... they're endangering women, they're endangering girls of all kind, and everyone should reject it. It's gross." - AOC
