On the whole we’ve been pretty happy with BCBS during this cancer thing — they’ve covered all the scans, surgeries, biopsies, chemo, targeted therapy, $100Ks in care. But then they’ll deny a $12 medication and it’s like…that’s the hill you’re gonna die on?

Slightly different situation but our protocol is 30 minutes and an ETCO2 < 15mmHg for PEA/VF/VT. Most EMS systems are similar, it’s worked well for me for the last decade.

It’s crazy reading stories like this and how different it was from our experience. No pushback at all for trastuzumab (even the new SQ form) or Abraxane, even in a case that was arguably not “necessary”. Really makes you wonder what the difference is
