Hope it’s not a false flag as a pretext to a fake attack to justify election interference

THIS ISN’T GETTING NEARLY ENOUGH ATTENTION

U.S. intelligence intercepted an encrypted transmission believed to be from Iran, possibly an operational trigger for sleeper cells.

🚨Government alert: Iran may be activating sleeper cells.

With Trump and Hegseth running the show, we’re screwed.

Can’t have any acknowledgment that Jan 6 was bad actually in a place where republicans might have to talk about it!

Dem house members need to organize regular trips - have each office have one jr staffer per day take groups of 10 or so toursits (from various D districts) to go just to see it and take photos - kind of like Berlin airlift - they could get several hundred a day through that way

The Laid-off Scientists and Lawyers Training AI to Steal Their Careers Experienced white-collar workers are now part of a miserable gig economy.

AI companies are hiring people to produce data for practically any job you can imagine: chefs, management consultants, archivists, private investigators, rental-counter clerks. It is, as one industry veteran put it, the largest harvesting of human expertise ever attempted.

A New Chapter for Bluesky - Bluesky After several intense and incredible years building Bluesky from the ground up, I've decided to step back as CEO and transition to a new role as Bluesky's Chief Innovation Officer.

Bluesky CEO Jay Graber Is Stepping Down Venture capitalist Toni Schneider will take over as interim CEO as Bluesky’s board of directors hunts for a permanent replacement.

I wouldn't panic just yet.

Jay is a technical person. BlueSky continues to be a public benefit corporation. That being said, BlueSky should be sustainable.

My understanding is she isn’t being pushed out or leaving, she’s moving to the Chief Innovation Officer role. So it’s a strategic shift so she can focus on building the technology while someone else runs the company day-to-day.

Farage U-turns again on Iran war as Reform’s policy descends into β€˜chaos’

No principles, no morality, no information, no expertise, just endlessly appeasing Trump, Putin, Netanyahu and assorted billionaires and foreign oligarchs or chasing the next headline, until suddenly colliding with reality. Bang, oof.

This could also apply to a racist human cluster. People always label loners as the sick ones in society; that's false, many are the brave ones that step out of the pack.

My daughter in law and I were talking about when I was her age (mid 30’s) what a man’s world it was. She said it still is. Stopped me cold. Thank you for sharing.

I was at a shitty crustpunk bar once getting an after-work beer. One of those shitholes where the bartenders clearly hate you. So the bartender and I were ignoring one another when someone sits next to me and he immediately says, "no. get out."

And the dude next to me says, "hey i'm not doing anything, i'm a paying customer." and the bartender reaches under the counter for a bat or something and says, "out. now." and the dude leaves, kind of yelling. And he was dressed in a punk uniform, I noticed

Anyway, I asked what that was about and the bartender was like, "you didn't see his vest but it was all nazi shit. Iron crosses and stuff. You get to recognize them."

And i was like, ohok and he continues.

"you have to nip it in the bud immediately. These guys come in and it's always a nice, polite one. And you serve them because you don't want to cause a scene. And then they become a regular and after awhile they bring a friend. And that dude is cool too.

And then THEY bring friends and the friends bring friends and they stop being cool and then you realize, oh shit, this is a Nazi bar now. And it's too late because they're entrenched and if you try to kick them out, they cause a PROBLEM. So you have to shut them down.

And i was like, 'oh damn.' and he said "yeah, you have to ignore their reasonable arguments because their end goal is to be terrible, awful people."

And then he went back to ignoring me. But I haven't forgotten that at all.

It's the "Nazi Bar" problem.
If a nazi, or a sexist, or other bigot is welcome at your table, you have a nazi table. Even if you specifically are not one, you are allowing them to be welcome. So what good are you?

None of this is helped, of course, by the present administration which includes a serial sexual assaulter and alleged pedophile at its helm, eager to cover up a massive sexual scandal, an accused sexual assaulted as Sec of Defense, and a man with awful history with women as HHS Secretary

Out of 10 men , one makes a sexual joke at a woman, two laugh, three fake a chuckle to fit in, and four stay silent. None of them speak up. Later, none of them still believe they're the "good guys." But from the woman's perspective , the laughter, the silence , the looking away, it all creates the same environment. So when women say "most men are the same," this is what they mean: not that every man harassed women, but that most men helpmprotect the system that does.

Yea, I see the resemblance to the other nine men. Taking it in seriously.

During #WomensHistoryMonth, I can personally reflect on this, and feel amazed at how women have made history despite this built in disadvantage.

Backwards, in heels, and harassed.

The President of the USA is now openly threatening Iran with being the target of one of the greatest crimes in world history. Trump is saying he will destroy the basis of life for more than 90 million people.
He should be removed from office for this.

The β€œAI productivity” grifters focus so much on academia (students and faculty) because it is a technology originally designed for cheating and fraud. If you never read papers or design your own studies, you aren’t a researcher. If you don’t write your own work, you aren’t a student. You’re a fake.

Here's our 🎢 parody version of Barry McGuire's 1965 "Eve of Destruction" that we've modernised to turn to current US adventurism. We're calling it: "Grief and Destruction" πŸš€

Being a sane American right now: It's like the United States is riding in the back-seat of a car and Dad is driving drunk. Mom is the Republican party, riding in the passenger seat: She knows Dad is completely sloshed but she goes along with it because she's afraid of getting beaten up again if she says anything. Some of your brothers and sisters are excited because they like carnival rides and think speed and chaos is entertaining. But you feel slightly insane because you're the only one in the car who understands the danger everyone is in and no one seems capable of stopping the maniac at the wheel.
