Jay is a technical person. BlueSky continues to be a public benefit corporation. That being said, BlueSky should be sustainable.
My understanding is she isnβt being pushed out or leaving, sheβs moving to the Chief Innovation Officer role. So itβs a strategic shift so she can focus on building the technology while someone else runs the company day-to-day.
No principles, no morality, no information, no expertise, just endlessly appeasing Trump, Putin, Netanyahu and assorted billionaires and foreign oligarchs or chasing the next headline, until suddenly colliding with reality. Bang, oof.

@iamragesparkle I was at a shitty crustpunk bar once getting an after-work beer. One of those shitholes where the bartenders clearly hate you. So the bartender and I were ignoring one another when someone sits next to me and he immediately says, "no. get out." And the dude next to me says, "hey i'm not doing anything, i'm a paying customer." and the bartender reaches under the counter for a bat or something and says, "out. now." and the dude leaves, kind of yelling. And he was dressed in a punk uniform, I noticed Anyway, I asked what that was about and the bartender was like, "you didn't see his vest but it was all nazi shit. Iron crosses and stuff. You get to recognize them." And i was like, ohok and he continues. "you have to nip it in the bud immediately. These guys come in and it's always a nice, polite one. And you serve them because you don't want to cause a scene. And then they become a regular and after awhile they bring a friend. And that dude is cool too. And then THEY bring friends and the friends bring friends and they stop being cool and then you realize, oh shit, this is a Nazi bar now. And it's too late because they're entrenched and if you try to kick them out, they cause a PROBLEM. So you have to shut them down. And i was like, 'oh damn.' and he said "yeah, you have to ignore their reasonable arguments because their end goal is to be terrible, awful people." And then he went back to ignoring me. But I haven't forgotten that at all.
It's the "Nazi Bar" problem.
If a nazi, or a sexist, or other bigot is welcome at your table, you have a nazi table. Even if you specifically are not one, you are allowing them to be welcome. So what good are you?

Out of 10 men , one makes a sexual joke at a woman, two laugh, three fake a chuckle to fit in, and four stay silent. None of them speak up. Later, none of them still believe they're the "good guys." But from the woman's perspective , the laughter, the silence , the looking away, it all creates the same environment. So when women say "most men are the same," this is what they mean: not that every man harassed women, but that most men helpmprotect the system that does.

Being a sane American right now: It's like the United States is riding in the back-seat of a car and Dad is driving drunk. Mom is the Republican party, riding in the passenger seat: She knows Dad is completely sloshed but she goes along with it because she's afraid of getting beaten up again if she says anything. Some of your brothers and sisters are excited because they like carnival rides and think speed and chaos is entertaining. But you feel slightly insane because you're the only one in the car who understands the danger everyone is in and no one seems capable of stopping the maniac at the wheel.
