it's almost like everyone ever said that genAI is gonna help facilitate the spread of misinformation like this!

i am a little annoyed by how many people fell for this despite how it doesn't pass the scratch tests of "would this make any sense to do so shortly after getting everyone onboard 11" and "if they thought they couldn't get away with subscription before, why would they think that now"
