After finishing lunch Mom and I took an elevator to a bar attached to the pizza place and took in the view. Mom got the nonalcohol special (which she hated. I took a sip myself, it was gross) and I got a beer, and in view of my hometown and the vastness of the ocean, toasted to my baby brother.
The were remarkably sweet, we had brought a painted rock marker instead to be placed out at a memorial rock garden at the beach promenade. But a year ago, some drunk asshole threw dozens of them into the ocean, so we'll keep it with us.
I took Mom out to a pizza place a couple of blocks away from the vagabond, we got a lunch special as kind of a farewell to this chapter of our lives. We ran into the sisters of a grade school friend of my brother. They hadn't heard he had passed.
It turns out Mom and I are the last people housed from project room key, a newsom COVID era initiative at this location, though quite possibly even state wide, but I'm just speculating. Not exactly what I thought I'd get in the history books for, that was being the first man murdered on the moon.
I've been a fan of the Inferior Five since I was a kid. Sadly, they've had very few appearances since the 60's. I recently had the itch to draw them, so I scratched it! I put them in an "Avengers Circle"!

I was watching the bond movies but I stalled out at Thunderball. I'm watching like a half hour of it every other day. It's not that I don't like it, it's just I have a soft spot for the campiness of the Moore flicks. I'm a sucker for when a franchise moves beyond its original premise.

That's not the first time I've seen an exit similar to that, but it's a shit situation all the way around. The workers can only do so much. So pretending I was going to have my skin harvested by the elderly at an optometrist office, seemed a good diversion.
She said that for my benefit, cause a guy I knew at the Vagabond was forced to move out. The stress of not knowing where he was going to go, caused him to call the paramedics for fear he was having a heart attack.
Mom got the shot in her eyes. She was effectively blind. She said she could go by herself, but I'm glad I ignored that. There's only one person living on earth that I have to look after, and there's no way in hell I'm shunning that responsibility.
