I was excited to listen to audiobook since it has a movie adaptation coming out in March but it's only available through A*****.
I would love if everyone not only got their own library card but to use the resources their library has to offer. I would love for anyone who hasn't read a book in awhile to start reading again, to find a book they like enough to recommend to others. If I somehow help with that, I would be thrilled.
This archive news feature showed up on my timeline and I'm so glad it did. It's feel good media that I needed. Very inspiring! I would love to eventually visit this library and see how Frances O'Brien's legacy has been honored.

I just read a picture book that everywhere the info about it says 32 pgs but it's so not. I even counted the endpapers and then had someone else count them. It's such a weird blatant lie that I feel could get the publisher in trouble. If you know which book I'm talking about, we're kindred spirits.
There seemed to be some great #kidlit documentaries being made the last 10-15 years and not being made available.
Any of you had the chance to watch the Stories and Picture By documentary? I can't believe none of my libraries have it. Maybe now that #MacBarnett is the #NAYPL, they'll try to have more screenings. storiedproduction.com/story-and-pi...
At a coffeeshop watching the #YouthMediaAwards on my laptop and have my phone ready to request the books I haven't read from my library. Bookish excitement on a Monday morning!
Also, I did enjoy some of the conspiracy threads after the show ended because there were so many cool payoffs if only they were true. Hopefully, they won't go crazy staying too long in their make believe worlds.
I still can't believe a show ended so badly when it could have been incredible if they actually tied all (or most of) the loose ends together. Such a wasted disappointing potential but stranger things have happened.

What are some of your favorite #kidlit -focused #substack?
It was so fun talking about your books and other people's books with you. I loved that someone randomly bought Margaux's book while we were talking about it! Bookstore magic!
I'm kind of annoyed that I didn't get approved to read the Arnold Lobel picture book biography coming out next week. But at least I can read it next week and we'll have four copies in the store.
Appreciated hearing from someone that Louder than Hunger by @mrschureads.bsky.social really helped the young reader- and their entire family- be able to discuss a serious topic. Hopefully, it's just the start of more conversations to help them deal with it. bookshop.org/a/6720/97815...
I've only just started reading them and other Tove Jansson books this year.

From #TBR to #PTR... We all have #ToBeRead piles that just keep getting better but I've started picking out titles that I'm actually going to be reading or #PlanToRead. Some are part of my #ReadingChallenges and one (book or series) is for the #KidsAtHeart #BookClub.
