In our house, the correct order of morning word games is: Wordle, Quordle Classic, Quordle Sequence, Twofer Goofer, Connections, Strands, and Sports Connections. (I do the Crossword and Spelling Bee solo and separately from @katy-w.bsky.social.)
Conference tournaments are starting in college basketball and that makes me very happy. If I watch enough of these games, then I can pretend like I'm knowledgeable when it comes time to fill out my brackets in a couple weeks.

A good thing that has happened recently is that I’ve reconnected with a good friend of mine from college, who also happens to be in a band, and he sent me copies of three of their records.
I've been mentally struggling lately, and I think a lot of it is because there's a coup happening in our city—and everyone knows it—but, like, normal life is still happening. Grocery shopping and dog walks and dinner dates, even though we all know the world is on fire. It's such a disconnect.
No-boil lasagna noodles feel like magic to me because I don’t understand the science behind them, but I don’t want anyone to explain it because the truth probably isn’t that interesting.

I generally do a good job of keeping sports in the right perspective, but this Lions season feels like destiny and I’m going to be so sad if they lose.
It’s weird being a Lions fan living in DC right now. Everyone is excited about the local team and normally I would cheer for them to do well (since Snyder is gone), but we just really need this.
