I keep having to tell myself to take things slow because I have the drive to do a lot and my illness keeping me back is extremely frustrating, but if I overexert myself I can permanently damage my body so I'm forced to be careful. Yet the guilt of not keeping up is always there

wish people realised that "using an illness as an excuse" is far less common than people genuinely struggling through life because they're pretending to not be ill and trying to keep up with healthy people
