What does it take for you to call yourself a writer? I have seven unfinished novels, one horribly finished novel, and a current first draft I’m determined to finish. Yet, I’m afraid to call myself a writer.

I don't really post much. Most days, I'm working on client projects, reading, writing, and relaxing with my family.
But I've started to wonder if staying under my rock has kept me stuck.
14 years freelancing. Burnt out. Unsure what's next. But figured I should start showing up more.
My pal @bageldenizen.bsky.social dropped his indie animation pilot, Stormfellers!
It's got so much heart, charm, and potential! Give it a watch, and if you like what you see, consider helping fund more episodes: www.kickstarter.com/projects/bag...
Bluesky is collegial and interesting, the way Twitter used to be. Bonus: most people can spell.
A thin pen sketch of the lighthouse on Tsurugizaki beach, colored in gray and blue alcohol marker with shades of purple. A girl, drawn small, sits on the foundation looking out towards the clouds. Arched above the sketch in loose writing reads, "Tsurugizaki."
I sketched for the first time in forever. It felt good to let loose and create, without any specific project or reason other than to just create.
"Art is not about perfection, it is about meditation. It is not a product, it is a practice."
Some days aren’t impressive. Just quiet, simple, and full of small things. That kind of quiet joy sticks with you longer than any to-do list ever could.
Yes! I'm a huge fan of cozy, slower-paced content nowadays.
I hate that the em dash is now being called the "ChatGPT Dash." I love that punctuation—it's one of my favorites!
I’ve been swapping late-night screen time for waking up at 5am to write and read. Losing that unwind time sucks, but I keep reminding myself it’ll be worth it in the long run.
Just finished reading "Yellowface" by R.F. Kuang! It pulled me in so fast I read it in one day (which is rare for me.) It’s uncomfortable yet believable and kind of awful in the best way. Definitely worth reading if you’re into messy characters and sharp commentary on the writing/publishing world.
The worst time to be an artist is the best time to be an artist.
There are days when I really don't want to sit down and write, but I never regret it when I do. It's like going to the gym, but with more self-doubt and fewer squats.
Nothing kills a new project idea faster than seeing your desired username/handle taken. 😒
Played the Severance theme on loop while organizing files to make the task feel mysterious and important.
I love seeing artists work incredibly hard to bring their ideas to life! @bageldenizen.bsky.social poured so much into creating amazing characters and dropped the trailer for his animated series, Stormfellers! Check it out! youtu.be/-uyMJF37ZFE?...
Best niche AI use for merch designers? Instantly pulling tour routing for back prints like dates or just the cities. What used to be so tedious now takes seconds! 😅
Drowning in freelance deadlines but thinking nonstop about my side projects and hobbies. Can I borrow some extra hours, Universe?
Seeing lots of #promosky interest posts and wanted to join in on the fun!
