Complaining about & blaming Keir Starmer for a long-scheduled, still uncertain, six month distant increase in fuel prices literally *hours* after calling for more war in the Middle East is quite the flex. These are not serious people.

FACTS:

Net Zero barely nudges your bill.

Fossil‑fuel wars send it through the roof.

So when Farage and his ilk slags off renewables while fanning conflict, remember who actually hikes your costs.

Two summer’s of attacks on places of worship in the UK show why what happens in the media and online impacts the real world.

To tackle anti-Muslim hostility and Islamophobia we need to define it. I’m pleased the government will appoint a lead on this and a definition can’t come soon enough.

If ever there was evidence needed that Farage, Badenoch and our media are all acting against our national interest, well there we have it. Disgraceful. I think the country sees that too.

How the right-wing British press became Trump’s trumpet Churchill would be appalled by the kinds of things Donald Trump says and does. But Fleet Street is happy to ignore history for the sake of some political point-scoring, writes Alan Rusbridger

“You’d think he’d be busy monitoring the wildfire consequences of the war he’d just started. But, no, he entertained himself by slagging off the British leader to any British journalist who’d listen.”

And they did more than listen. They disgraced themselves.

UK recruiter emerges from insolvency for third time, avoiding millions owed in tax Hampshire business seems to have benefited from ‘phoenixism’, which costs the taxpayer about £800m a year

This is straight up #fraud.

Run up debts.
Extract money from business.
Put company into administration
Liquidate company
Owners buy back company for pennies.
HMRC and creditors get nothing.

#Phoenixism costs UK taxpayers £800m per annum. 22% of lost taxes.

Crypto investor based in Thailand donates further £3m to Reform Christopher Harborne’s gift is latest to party’s election war chest and comes amid calls for cap on political donations

Who the hell is this guy? And what does he want as a return on his £millions invested in Reform? Because it sure as shit isn’t a fairer, more progressive, equal and prosperous UK with good public services and well-regulated consumer protections.

Twice now Starmer has said he's consulted with "allies AND the United States".

He's a skilled lawyer, he knows what he's saying.

Today we launch our plan for Wales, putting behind us the dark days when Nathan Gill, the Leader of Reform in Wales, took bribes to do the bidding of foreigners.
In other news, we have just had another £3million donation from a crypto investor who lives in Thailand...

Healthcare in Greenland is publicly funded, free at the point of use, and despite geographical challenges considered very good.

Healthcare costs in the USA are extortionate and responsible for 60% of all US bankruptcies.

So maybe Denmark should be sending hospital ships the other way.

Not sure why Reform announcing they’ll scrap the Equality Act 2010 hasn’t provoked widespread alarm.
They want to torch our human rights framework AND repeal our right to protection from discrimination.
A smile and a shrug on BBC News.
What the hell?
FFS, media. Tell people what this really means.

Why didn't Farage just answer the question about Reform's education policy?

Why did he seek to mock and ridicule the journalist asking a perfectly legitimate question and try to deligitimise the FT?

Easy. That's who he is. An arrogant man who doesn't have any policies beyond pointing at the sea.

Since Starmer was elected, @BBCNews and @BBCPolitics have been on a crusade to destabilize and bring down the elected government, having previously enabled Brexit, propped up a succession of incompetentTory PMs, and boosted the far-right Reform. People now are truly sick of it.

Does anyone else long for the days when political journalism was about reportage and analysis rather than endless tittle-tattle and trying to shift public opinion?

Does our media control who is in government, or do we, the people, who elected Sir Keir Starmer for a 5 year term, get to decide?

The media have been trying to remove him from power since day 1, to over the decision we made.

While there is justified outrage about Mandelson, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor &others, the relentless media focus on Keir Starmer (who was NOT mentioned in any Epstein file) is overdone.
By contrast, no focus on Farage who WAS mentioned (and who, BTW, applauded the appointment of Mandelson)…

For all the (justified) political angst about how and why Peter Mandelson got the Washington job, Kemi Badenoch's spokesman admitted that he can't recall the Tories raising the Epstein link at the time, and doesn't think they formally opposed the move either.

Farage is a danger to us all.

Why is no one investigating & exposing his extensive links to a secretive, dodgy and illegal network of individuals around the world who are trying to subvert our democracy, with funding from Russia?

Nigel Farage announces plans to slash vital benefit to fund 5p cheaper pints Nigel Farage's party had promised to back scrapping the two-child benefit limit, but now Reform intends to funnel the support to the most vulnerable into slashing prices in pubs

Nigel Farage is going to "save pubs" by cutting 5p off the price of a pint of beer...

The £3 billion cost will be funded by reinstating the two-child benefit limit.

This might be the worst policy anyone has ever come up with.

I wrote this song on Saturday, recorded it yesterday and released it to you today in response to the state terror being visited on the city of Minneapolis. It’s dedicated to the people of Minneapolis, our innocent immigrant neighbors and in memory of Alex Pretti and Renee Good.

Johnson culled the Tory Party of all but its grimmest dregs & now the grimmest of the grimmest dregs are defecting to Reform. It would be funny if it didn't alllow them, along with Farage, to pretend that they're not responsible for the state of the nation.
