Spent hours researching 17 fatal crashes, attended my first Indy Fatal Crash Review Team meeting, spent 3 hrs discussing safety interventions --- then almost none of the interventions were put in the recommendations. That includes, no traffic calming or speed reducing recommendations.
Oh my gosh. Government focus on the road safety, including regulation of oversized, dangerous by design, bloated vehicles. Who would have thought this possible?

Left the bike unlocked leaning against the bike rack for 3 hours. It was still there! All my karma is gone.

People will die at that crossing. Even with the Nickel Plate Trail bridge in place it will be a dangerous intersection. It's dangerous by design, motor vehicle designs are increasingly dangerous, traffic enforcement is negligible, and so, so much reckless and distracted driving.

Excited to see the Nickel Plate Bridge over Keystone on the way. Until then, be extra cautious (and visible) when crossing Keystone at 46th St. The drivers are distracted and regularly blow lights and take fast turns across the crosswalk without looking. #VisionZero
It will be a safety improvement for folks using the Keystone crosswalk across Erie, as that cut through street will be closed to motor vehicles. I've had trouble here with drivers going 40+ mph whipping onto that side street from Keystone without even checking the sidewalk and crosswalk.
I'm seeing a lot of properties in Indy sitting. And flippers and investors trying to unload their properties.
