An all-Republican 4th Circuit panel has just ruled that states can compel trans adults to "appreciate their sex" by enacting care bans.
It even directly says that trans adult care bans are legal in the ruling.

Yesterday, a 14-year-old girl from Marlborough was detained by federal immigration agents. A child with no criminal history was taken into custody in an apparent overnight attempt to use her as a hostage to coerce her father into turning himself in for deportation.
“The girl’s mother is deceased and her father is not part of her life, said Andrew Lattarulo, an attorney for the teenager. The girl was eventually brought to a facility kept under the Office of Refugee Resettlement in New York where she is now being held, Lattarulo said.”
“On Tuesday, [a 14-year-old] girl from #Marlborough with no criminal history was detained by immigration agents, [U.S. Rep. Lori Trahan] said. The girl was apparently used to ’coerce’ her father into turning himself in during an ’overnight attempt,’ according to Trahan.”
