Wow, transit working in Iowa City, Iowa. Fare revenue is a small part of @ridetarc.bsky.social budget. If only there were the political will to something like this in Louisville.

Even more people to imprison. Outlook not good.
As a republican I presume?
People on the street with vendors on either side and a stage in the distance.
Another street devastated after being closed to cars.
Sticking with Sorkin, Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip is a gem.
This is the wayβ¦ hereβs pic of my pup.
We have a bit of a natural experiment here. Compare the tone, quantity and duration of Charlie Kirk coverage with that of the two Dem lawmakers gunned down in their homes in Minnesota 6 months ago. May be revealing.
Wonder what it is in Louisville? Iβm guessing moreβ¦
Youβre loved. Youβre needed. Youβre cared for. Youβre strong. Youβre smart. Youβre caring.
Iβm glad you are here

A great thing about bike-friendly streets is that they enhance local transport resilience.
Tube down b/c of a strike? A great excuse to cycle.
Future proofing bike lanes is something I hope New York City learns. The Flushing Ave bike lane by the Navy Yard is woefully narrow, especially for a two-way lane. Given how long it takes to build things like it, the city needs to think ahead.
The Embankment cycleway (CS3) in London was purposefully built to be wider than was usual in order to future proof it.
Some said it would hardly be used.
Now thereβs a decent case for widening it further.
Induced demand is real.
A new mural by elusive street artist Banksy showing a judge beating an unarmed protester with a gavel will be removed from a wall outside one of Londonβs most iconic courts, authorities said Monday.
Iβll second this, very much of an era for state park lodges. Some of the cabins at state park are nice. Stayed there last year.
Itβs a bit kitschy, but worth a visit. Manage expectations though, heh.
Taking the whole ROAD βοΈ
Distracted (singing) βοΈ

No reflective vests βοΈ
Riding in a pack βοΈ
Textbook radical anti-car cyclists.
It would be amazing if the police would actually enforce these same/corresponding rules for drivers.
The Supreme Court just ruled this meme is constitutional.
I get that. Frankfort has some good stuff going on, just avoid the capitol, heh.
Brown County Indiana and/or Bloomington. Might be a bit biased as an IU person:) I've heard good things about French Lick, but haven't been recently.
Gee, what could go wrong?
Lowering the bar is not the answer (itβs pretty low already).
Do you think he has any idea of the support for this inside the urban service district? Leaving aside the fact that urban residents are subsidizing suburbs, not the other way around.

My city would be a LOT better for people if decision-makers would just start doing the little things well and stop thinking big shiny expensive projects will fix anything.
My city would be a LOT better for people if decision-makers would just start making transportation policy for PEOPLE and stop making transportation policy for CARS.
After all, it's not the cars that are unhappy.
My city would be a LOT better for people if decision-makers would just start implementing solutions proven efficient elsewhere and stop pretending these solutions

just gonna plop the thumbnail about linkedin removing its policy against deadnaming & misgendering next to the thumbnail about linkedin losing federal contracts because of βwokeβ and stack them right on top of the thread about the βpreventing woke AI in the federal governmentβ executive order.
