Hi John, how has governance been in the UK for the past sixteen years, would you say?

No fair enough, same here re: those two (although I have fond memories of drinking WB in the early days). Ledbury beers have always been v well put together tbf.
Fun fact that you may or may not know; their stuff is brewed by Jonny, formerly of Brewdog, Brodies and Weird Beard.
I see you are an accredited DV observer so perhaps you know more than I, but I've observed elections all over the world, including in places where you might expect family voting to be more common, but it's rarely reported on the scale DV seem to observe it.
I see they actually put something out yesterday! But I also wouldn't have blamed them for keeping quiet at the moment. I understand where they take the definition from but I think there must be something flawed in their understanding and/or methodology, it's clearly something they see as a big issue
Especially when their definition/understanding of family voting seems fundamentally flawed, but that is a separate issue.
Yes I understand that but I'd like to hear it from them. What are they adding to the democratic process by reporting at 10 pm on election night? They're certainly not helping the Returning Officer and staff deliver a result. Plenty of time to report their concerns after the fact. Seems ill-judged.
Yes, it's in the English Devolution & Community Empowerment Bill
The thing I would most like them to explain is why they decided to put out a press release at close of polls before a vote had been counted and why they thought it was a good idea. I doubt they'll say anything more concrete citing potential police investigation.
"That's a wildly inaccurate claim to make" says the person suggesting that Trump and Netanyahu care about protesting Iranians.
LOL
Probably more relevant than at any other point in my lifetime 🏴
Iechyd da indeed, Skyborry are the best.
This is just absolute nonsense, just totally fabricated. Where do they get this stuff from?!
Oh dear.
Both will likely win seats in Cardiff Penarth so it doesn't really matter, the PR system we have now means you can more or less vote for who you want.
It has changed. The Electoral Commission runs an accredited observation scheme to which anyone can apply.

Also, the UN don't observe elections.
Ah nice, I recommend giving the latest album a spin in that case. There is a Martha link, I think two of the band play in FV currently.
It's also a key rail interchange so I've had a couple of trips there on the way to/from other places 👍🏻 reading this is making me want to go back 🍻
Lovely piece, love Cologne, although it's a shame the how to get there section doesn't mention how easy it is to reach by train from the UK! Do-able in just over fours from London (I realise you may not be responsible for that bit).
Lovely, I've listened to a few bits and bobs this week but have a clear afternoon for a more converted effort.
Are you familiar with Fortitude Valley? They're one of the bands that cited them as inspo, responsible for my album of 2025 and on your in a couple of weeks.

Plaid Cymru won in Caerphilly with over 47% of the vote, the Greens won 1.5% in Caerphilly.
They'll make it elsewhere, the bottled version is already brewed in Burton rather than Cornwall. It's an insanely popular beer, it won't be going anywhere.
I'm no expert but is that a fair characterisation of what's happening in the States? The fact that elections are run on a state level, for e.g., could save the US from a total descent into fascism.
Not the main point but Landlord sells more than Doom Bar in the UK now, Doom Bar is #2.
Been listening to quite a few bands citing The Beths as an influence lately so thought I should probably listen to The Beths.
Inviting our corporate overlords into our homes to eavesdrop on us because we can't be arsed to use a pen and paper.
