When are people going to learn that any statement beginning with "Trump says..." is just an airborne toxic event, and nothing more.

There are a lot of Lincoln Republicans who are not MAGA.

There are many Christians who are not MAGA.

Hopefully there are many other Americans who just want to stop the hate and are willing to accept people who are coming to reality.

We will all need to make accommodations if we are to unite.

The assumption is that he doesn't know that what he says isn't true "divorced from reality".

I believe that he does know he is lying, but doesn't care.

What is frightening is that his base either knows he's lying (and doesn't care), or simply accepts the disconnect between that and reality.

Do these people understand that all of this is just going to be undone after the end of his term?

To be fair, no amount of evidence was ever going to change their minds.

To be fair, likely even simple operations are likely well over his head. His briefings were likely dizzying from his perspective. So of course he was impressed.
