Obama: Every day you wake up to things you just didn’t think were possible. Each day we’re told by those in high office to fear each other. Everywhere we see greed and bigotry being celebrated, and bullying and mockery masquerading as strength.

NHS official pushed to add patient data to Palantir platform whilst also advising company
A lobbyist who worked directly for Peter Mandelson, on the Palantir board, and on the board of *four* NHS trusts.
Lobbying the NHS to hand over even more patient data to Palantir.
This absolutely stinks. Get Palantir out of the NHS. Sign my petition:

Ok, let’s do this🙄
We’ll start with an explainer covering:
🕒What is a 15-minute city
🏫What on Earth is going on with Oxford
👽Where the conspiracy theories have come from
And then we’ll look at the Telegraph article

Nigel Farage attended Davos on a pass sponsored by the family office of Iranian billionaire Sasan Ghandehari, which told the World Economic Forum that the Reform UK leader had advised the company since 2018. ft.trib.al/V138xDu

Thank goodness I'm not Angela Raynor, otherwise the press would have hounded me out of office.
We have a plastic free shop on our high street which is all responsibly sourced. It is fantastic. Lots of localish suppliers with great products. Also the staff are wonderful.
Small independent shops are not always what they say they are.
Ask questions regarding their supplies.
A while ago I tried a local independent butcher who no longer trades.
I had a chat with him regarding his meat sources. They were from a large meat supplier. So much for being local.
If only people would wake up & cut out the billionaire shysters taking all of our money for their profit margin!.
Bring back the little independent shops, butchers, bakers and candlestick makers I say.
A crypto investor just donated £9 million to the Reform Party. Right now, billionaires can pour unlimited money into our elections, effectively buying our democracy. Think that's wrong? Add your name to call for a cap on donations today: you.38degrees.org.uk/petitions/ta...
A very long and important THREAD -
The real reason the US is invading Venezuela goes back to a deal Henry Kissinger made with Saudi Arabia in 1974.
And I'm going to explain why this is actually about the SURVIVAL of the US dollar itself.
Not drugs. Not terrorism. Not "democracy." 1/

This is why Liverpool and Manchester’s mayors and its two major newspapers are joining forces today
I still have a cough, some days are worse than others and sometimes I get out of breath but I feel healthy. I'm giving myself the best chance of seeing my family grow. I look forward to every day and appreciate every moment.
I have been told I should remain stable into old age. Due to maintaining a healthy lifestyle, I eat a mixed diet, drink occasionally and stay active. Admittedly it does help that my job means I walk over 20,000 steps a day. Also and most importantly I avoid smokey environments.
When I got diagnosed with COPD it scared the hell out of me. I'm on a regular daily steroid inhaler and with the help of my lung nurse I know my condition is under control.
I'm in the UK. I had help from my Dr and the love of a non smoking other half which really helped. The first month was not easy but after that I noticed how much better my breathing was. The turning point was when I ran for a bus and didn't get out of breath. After that it was quite easy.
Thank you for all of the interactions, reposts and likes. I was really not expecting it.
Just in case it helps, a little background info.
I was in my mid 30s when I finally quit. I had smoked and worked in bars for 18 years by that point.
My last cigarette was 5th Nov 2005 so almost 20 years for me. Diagnosed COPD 14 years ago. Thank god I quit when I did. I still feel healthier now than I did 20 years ago.
