The course may be ending, but the work is just beginning.

From strengthening proposals to testing new restoration approaches, we look forward to seeing how the ideas gained from the course take root across landscapes in the 12 countries where these alumni work.

How can technology better support biodiversity conservation in East Africa?

Day 1 focused on tools in action, and the pathway from β€œdata-to-impact”.

Key takeaway: monitoring technology works best when the data are accessible, supported by skills, linked to the local context.

This week, the group visited #Bigodiwetlands. Bigodi is a powerful example of how people & nature can thrive together. From threatened papyrus wisp dragonflies, to great blue turacos, the visit brought new perspectives & renewed energy as we begin the second half of the course.
