Despite being illegal in the US, the Declaration of Independence DOES specify in it's preamble that Americans have the "Right of Revolution" and while this may not have been universally agreed upon, it was something members of our founders strongly advocated for, hence why we have the 2nd amendment.

I'd like to believe that someone could raise hell and cause a PR disaster if a company did that here but unfortunately I can see a lot of the Trump supports and "bootstrap" folk where I live would blindly side with the company or find some way to blame the employee instead of the system we're under.

Right to Work states can fire people for pretty much any reason with the barest of excuses required.

All they'd need to say is the employee refused to come in after being denied time off or something like that (or make up/use any other reason they can get away with, esp. if they have dirt on you).

Especially for people such as myself with eating disorders, no SNAP pretty much fucks me for this month and I'm generally not healthy enough to be able to work if I'm not able to afford to eat to eat.

I'm aware of that and am not disagreeing. I'm pointing out that it's a lose lose scenario for some as it's either work on an empty stomach (not possible for everyone) or do as your post stated which I, and others, would love to do but would result in many of us being fired.

That's a quick way to get fired in jobs I've worked personally.

This is the result of anti-intellectualism and a failure of the educational system, along with the Government and their willing refusal to do anything, they cant (wont) even make college affordable, let alone free

They want a populace of people educated enough to perform generic labor, nothing more

The US needs a unified Socialist Party that actively fights and pushes for positions in all levels of Government, local to federal (a coalition instead of fragmented parties)

One that hasn't been hijacked by reformists, revisionists and MAGA Communists. (CPUSA, ACP, PSL, Avakian's RCP as examples).
